I am SO EXCITED

to finally announce that our gorgeous Irish rose ( oh aren't i soppy tonight....hehehehe) Krissy will be flying her cute little self down here to join in all the fun of the scrap frenzy retreat!!! i am so honoured and very excited that krissy is coming down for our retreat and that we will all get to finally meet her in person...krissy is a constant source of inspiration to me and so many others .......not to mention one of my gorgeous DT's and an extremely important and valued friend...we are in for a FANTASTIC weekend girls..don't worry krissy i am stocking up on the red frogs already...hehehehe.... i just can't wait!!!!! happy dance time now...woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just a reminder!!

just a little reminder girls that all deposits for the retreat need to be in by the end of the month to secure your spot....anyone who hasn't paid at least a $50 deposit by then i will assume is not attending and i will fill the spot.....i don't mean to sound harsh but i am in the planning stages and confirmed numbers are becoming very important now....having said that........

woohoo we are on our way girls......after lots of discussion yesterday we have put together a jammed pack retreat package full of fun and scrapping madness...so check it out!

WHAT: SCRAP FRENZY RETREAT
WHEN: FRIDAY MARCH 26TH- SUNDAY MARCH 28TH
DESTINATION: ABERGLASSLYN

this retreat is a jam packed speed scrapping weekend...yep thats right we are going to speed scrap our way through the weekend.no procrastinating around here girls......our goal is to learn to use our stash more effectively making the most of everything in it while creating 20 pages....how awesome will that be to get 20 pages done.......i can't wait!!!!

the cost for the full weekend is $200 that includes all meals (except dinner friday night..we will be going out to dinner to kick start our weekend) morning and afternoon teas, soft drinks, nibblies and the scrap pack from HELL!!! hehehehe....

the scrap pack will contain an album, bazzill, papers, embellishments and alphas to complete your gorgeous pages...it will also contain a mixture of page instructions, sketches with examples and challenges to guide you through the weekend to reach your goal of 20 pages....i of course will be there to help you through it all as well.....

peta from "scrapbooking from scratch" will have a shop set up for us with loads of gorgeous goodies to choose from so you can even go shopping and add more to your stash should you feel the NEED!!! hehehehe...and speaking from experience there will be lots to tempt you so i am sure you will need to bring some spending money with you....hehehehe.....

i will need a deposit of $50 by the end of october to secure your spot and all retreaters need to be paid up in full by the end of january.....i am happy for you to pay off the weekend in instalments so just contact me to book in and for banking details.....i am extremely happy to say that there are only 3 full weekend spots left at this stage so please be quick to book in if you are wanting to join us...believe me you will have an awesome weekend to remember!!

yep thats right i am working things out for us already....this time i am planning a speed scrapping retreat with loads of goodies for us to create....wait for it....20!!!yep i said 20 pages over the weekend....no procrastinating aloud here girls!!! hahahahaha.....

you will have a gorgeous pack of goodies with page instructions , sketches and challenges to help you create those 20 pages .... there will be a small prize for all those people who do get their 20 finished and another prize ( a bit bigger..hehehehe) for the person who completes the most pages over the weekend....don't worry you will still have plenty of free time to do your own thing as well....the idea of the weekend is for me to show you how to make the most out of your stash..making it go as far as possible as well as making it so much fun!!....

i am currently working out costing and exact dates etc so i will post it all here for you very very soon!..this really is going to be so much fun girls....i hope you can all make it!!

what a weekend!!!!!

wow what a weekend we had....first i want to thank all those who attended for your wonderful company and friendship....i had an awesome weekend and i hope you all did too!..... we didn't take a lot of photos of us mad scrappers...bloody idiot i am......but we were too busy scrapping to think of it...i did take this gorgeous shot of sandy with her lovely lollie teeth and of course her photo of jon to keep her inspired!! that would do it for me!! hahahaha...not only did we scrap like we were possessed..the girls got heaps done......we ate pretty well too and the time clock just didn't exsist.....things like yummo ice cream from baskin and robbins courtesy of the gorgeous michelle and then what about fresh home made waffles to go with them made by penny.......sound yummo!!! let me tell you it was....even if it was 1.30 am ......hahahahaha...like i said we just didn't notice time at all.....michelle and i went to bed at 3am both mornings with all the girls not much before us...who needed sleep...we were scrapping!!!!! oh and who could forget the absolutely yummo scones with jam and cream made fresh sunday morning by the wonderful penny again!!mmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it all......mmmmmmm......i am doing a total homer right now!!

here are all the different classes i taught for the girls over the weekend.....this one was friday night.....using the gorgeous country grove papers from kaiser and the two step dragonfly stamp from kaszazz....i really love the end result with this one....this photo doesn't really show off the colours very well so you'll have to take my word for it...the colours are just beautiful.....

on saturday morning we created gorgeous kaiser clocks using "esperance" or "blushed" papers...this is the one i did with the esperance range using photos from our trip to crescent head this january......

this simply gorgeous clock was created by Trish using the "blushed "papers....it is simply stunning..she used the papers so well.....trish used some beautiful family pics for her creation!
great use of thickers for the numbers as well..they look awesome!

for sunday morning the girls had the choice of a girls or a boy pack both of which were 3 bugs papers...just gorgeous!.....here are my pages using the "snips and snails" range...these pages were inspired by miss Krissy..thanks for the kick in the right direction krissy...i needed it!!! i still haven't taken photos of the girls pages that i did but i will post them soon for you....

wasn't my little man just a cute bubba!!! for sunday afternoon i went bold using the kaiser "allsorts" range the left hand page is a featured layout from kaiser ...the right hand page i created myself to go with it...i wanted it to go with it but not over crowd it...... the plans are already under way for our next retreat ...next time a little later in the year but bigger and better i promise...i am already working on a gorgeous venue for our winter wonderland retreat!!! so keep a look out for more details soon!!!

i can't believe it is almost here.....only 8 sleeps to go.....i am madly trying to finish getting all organised for you...i am so excited to share this weekend with you all.....
cross your fingers that a couple of last minute deliveries make it in time...........arrrrrrrrr.....

a huge thank you to those who have paid and gotten their goodie bags...it is a HUGE help to me...anyone who still needs to make payment ( including daytrippers) please do so by monday.....as this will be a great help to me in finalising all our plans.....your help with this would be wonderful...

i am definately getting excited now after a great day yesterday going through papers and page designs working things out...and a HUGE THANKS to Sandy for helping me with my stress attack!!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha.......i have had to make a couple of changes due to stock availability and well things not being as i thought...but it is all worked out and we are in for an awesome scrappy weekend........i have had to introduce a new paper range for sunday afternoon..it is "allsorts" from kaiser...beautiful bright colours...you can check it out on the kaiser website if you wish but i will be posting sneak peaks very soon.....



i have worked out photos sizes and in some cases i will be using black and white photos as they simply suit the papers better so be sure to check the list for size as well as colour...if i have not mentioned anything then use colour photos......also please stick to the orientation mentioned if you can as some of the pages really need to be set the way they are.....hope that all makes sense??hahahahaha...

*you will have the choice of bear stamps, cupcakes, flowers and lots more to use on this

* this LO could be made for boys or girls......

wow i can't believe how quickly it is coming!!! so excited now and busily getting organised.....the classes are planned out, just putting the pages together now, and there is some interesting fun things thrown in for good measure too...be ready for a good laugh!!!!

here is the proposed menu for the weekend...check it out and if there is anything on it you are allergic too or you just can't stand please let me know so i can organise an alternative for you...

friday night: Nachos

saturday; breakfast: cereals and toast etc
lunch: lasagne, garlic rolls and salad
dinner: top secret!!! hahahaha....

sunday: breakfast: egg, bacon and cheese rolls
lunch : salad wraps

there will be lollies, chocies etc to munch on over the course of the day as well as some awesome slices and muffins made by the gorgeous penny for morning and afternoon teas! oh and of course plenty of drinks....if you would like something a little more interesting then it is BYO alcohol please......

suggested tools: please bring the following with you if you have them, i will have some here like i do for classes but the more we have the faster things will flow and the more we will be able to get done:
*trimmer
* cutting knife/blade
*various width tapes
* glossy accents
* scissors
*ruler
*pencil
*gel pens
*cutting mat
*aqwash brush
* watercolour crayons or pencils...if you have some that is...

i will have some of these items for sale or you can order them prior to the weekend if you like but i would need the order and money by the 15th...i will be placing an order on the 16th and that will be the last one before the mamma mia weekend....i will be taking orders at the weekend but this is the order you need if you want something in particular back for the weekend to play with....

i am so looking forward to spending the weekend with you all scrapping away...so be ready for loads of fun and challenges and not alot of sleep...hahahahahahaha...yes i know i am EVIL!!!!!!

just a friendly reminder that the deadline, which i extended because i was away, to receive goodie bags for the retreat is this weekend!!! all people, wether you are attending the whole weekend or just part of it, paid in full by sunday afternoon will receive an AWESOME goodie bag on arrival...trust me you don't want to miss this one!!!!

i will be posting a list on friday of things that would be handy to pack for the weekend...it will mostly be your regular tools and bits but check back from friday on to double check you have everything you will need.....your class packs will have all your CS, papers and some embellishments so you will complete all classes completely within your weekend costing.....

excited cause i am...a fun weekend full of friends and craft...how can we go wrong....we just can't!!!!! here is a little preview of what is on offer for our retreat weekend here at "villa donna"



friday night...double page layout class using " country grove" papers from kaiser co-designed by myself and krissy



saturday morning ....clock using kaiser papers and embellishments..you will be able to choose from the "blushed" range or the "esperance" range...the pack for this class is huge and you will have loads of leftovers to use later......


saturday afternoon: in this class we will be using some kaszazz stamps , watercolour crayons and embellishments to create 2 single page layouts ....(or a single and some cards...still deciding) again this class will be co-designed my myself and krissy



saturday night; sandy will be running a bonus challenge class ( a speed scrap challenge and a blind challenge) which includes a small pack plus you will be able to use some of your left overs from your clock class if you wish



sunday morning: double page layout class using some of the new kaszazz papers either my boy or my girl...i will have a mixture available...first in best dressed! i will design this one.....can't wait!!

sunday afternoon: we will be doing 2 single page layouts deigned by krissy using kaiser products!


there will be loads of challenges thrown in over the course of the weekend as well as products and packs to purchase should you wish to play with some exciting new stuff.....i will also be able to take kaszazz orders should i not have something in stock that you really want!!!

if you are unable to attend all or part of the weekend but you would like the packs simply email me and i will inform you of prices etc and organise getting them to you.....

saturday night we will be having a greek themed dinner, watching mamma mia and maybe even a bit of abba singstar...we will be having an ABSOLUTE ball....i can't wait!!!!

thats right only 41 sleeps to go until the mamma mia retreat kicks into gear here at villa donna so please if are planning on attending any of the classes that weekend book now!!! i am in the final planning stages and need to have more of an idea of numbers also the due date for payment is also fast approaching......

i will be posting classes on monday after some final details are finished up this weekend so you will know the types of classes i will be doing.....i will not be posting the actual layouts before the weekend but you will have technique and paper ranges to go off.....photos sizes will be posted closer to the retreat weekend......
