10 DAYS TO GO!!!!

yep that's right girls we have 10 days to go until the retreat!! so i thought i would tempt your taste buds with this little post of our yummy scrummy menu for this year!

FRIDAY: dinner at the bradford hotel at own expense.

SATURDAY: breakfast: pancakes.
lunch: hamburgers
afternoon tea: lemonade scones.
dinner: beef stroganoff and rice with salad.

SUNDAY: breakfast: bacon and egg rolls.
lunch: teriakyi chicken and fried rice.

Penny is also making yummy anzac biscuits to snack on over the weekend. i don't know about you but my taste buds sure are looking forward to all that....

kit news...there was one hiccup with things so far ....the little white and pink rosebuds i mentioned in the last post are unavailable but i am sure we have tonnes of flowers even without them....i have ordered us all half a metre each of four different coloured small pom pom trim and three different coloured laces...also half a metre each....i am now just waiting for the papers to arrive so i can finish off the kits and match things up correctly.....it is looking great so far girls!!!!

i can't believe it

it is almost here girls!!! woohoo i so can't wait but there is only 3 weeks to go until this year's scrap frenzy retreat!!! i have been madly shopping and planning today and i have been asked by a few of you to share the details so you can better prepare yourselves for our weekend of scrapping....so here is alittle bit of info for you....

i am currently doing up all the challenges and sketches for you.....there is one main challenge for the weekend and that is to SCRAP YOUR PAGES IN 8.5 X 11 SIZE INSTEAD OF THE REGULAR 12X12.....it is a challenge weekend afterall so we should try something a little different right?? for one of the challenges you will need a photo of yourself...if you would like the rest of the challenges just email me and let me know and once they are all finished i will email you a copy to look over. i don't want to post them on the blog so that those who don't want to know won't be disappointed.

oh what fun...

i am having slowly building up the shopping cart from hell for our retreat!! ....there is so much wonderful scrapping goodies out there to choose from that the decisions are some times very hard just because i'd like to give you everything...LOL...

i am trying to come up with a good mix of items as well as some new tools for us to play with that will challenge us at the same time.....it is after all a challenge weekend...my gorgeous mum has also started crocheting us doileys and flowers for our kits!

i have also started thinking about the actual challenges themselves and i have decided i am going to throw you a little curve ball that i think you will like should you choose to accept the challenge....i say it that way because even though i set the retreat up as a challenge weekend should you choose to simply do your own thing you can....it's not like i am going to beat you over the head with my baseball bat should you not want to use the challenges....well i don't think i will..mmmmmmm thinking thinking thinking.....nah i won't ...i promise...you can trust me....PMSL!!!!

while i am still at the looking stage you can still suggest items you'd love in the kits...so have a look around and if there is anything that you are totally in love with and would like included if possible please don't hesitate to ask me...asking doesn't hurt afterall.....also there are just three places left so if yu have a friend who may be interested in joining us please let me know asap.....

And the shopping begins!

i have to tell you girls i am having so much fun checking out all the new CHA stuff and in some cases placing pre-orders for our retreat! ( so now is the time to speak up if you'd like anything in particular in the kits and i'll see what i can do)there is so many goodies out there to choose from that i am drooling on a regular basis!

i am trying to choose fairly neutral items that can be used for just about anything with a few new ...umm how to describe them maybe tool type goodies would say it best.....this retreats kit is going to be totally awesome!!!! if i do say so myself PMSL!!!!!!!!!

having said that could i ask a huge favour ...if anyone who has booked in is in the position to pay either their deposit or another instalment it would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL.....or if you haven't booked in yet but would like too (there are only 3 positions left)....please don't hesitate to email me here and we'll get you all organised for the most fun scrapping you'll ever have!!! hehehehe.....

i might eeven put some teasers up soon if your really nice to me...insert evil laugh here.....hahahaha!!!

the date is set!

ok girls the date is offically set for my scrap frenzy challenge retreat for 2011...the first weekend in march ...march 4th- 6th...will be our weekend to scrap and chat madly.....i am working on a few finer details now and will post it all very soon...please be quick to book your place should you wish to attend as places are very limited....

what a weekend!!

hey there girls....well i don't know about you but i had an AWESOME weekend scrapping away while chatting with the best bunch of girls EVER!!!!!! it was so great to meet my online friends and get to know them all so much better while getting to spend more time with my gorgeous scrappy friends.........everyone has re-booked for next year so i guess i didn't scare anyone off!!! PMSL......i will post some pics and share a bit more about our weekend once i grab the pics off sandy.....



i have done up some little pressies for all those gorgeous ladies who gifted me with their company for the weekend...so stalk the postie next week girls as i am posting them soon...lol..i want to send out a HUGE thank you to you all for an awesome weekend....

i will be posting some details about next year for you soon too!! i know some of you are very keen to know the date and get it into your diary so i promise i'll get it all organised for you...i will be keeping the weekend as a challenge weekend with a scrap kit included in the weekend package...more details soon!!!

scrap layout overload!!

we had an awesome scrappy weekend...well i now i did...my body even went into shock on monday from all the layouts i did (LOL...well that's the excuse i am using for the migraine i had )...i am really happy with the 11 layouts i got completed over the weekend especially considering that i didn't scrap at all on the sunday....so technically i got 11 done in a day and a half...very happy girl here!!! ok so here they are....sorry for the pics quality...still not great photo weather around here.... "stripies" was the first layout of the weekend for me...nothing to technical just a quickie to get me started....i just used some felt as a photo mat and mounted the pics for extra height.....

oh my god!!! yes that's me girls......my mum is so happy i finally scrapped a photo of myself god love her...lol.....this was for the challenge "one sketch 4 ways"...this was the first view for the sketch....i still have to add some journalling but i need to have a chat to mum to check a few things first.....

this layout of chantelle after she lost her first tooth is for the stitching challenge and used a pagemaps sketch.....i am really happy with this one....i loved using krissy's doileys and some jenny bowlin butterflies!

just a little close up of the doileys etc.......look real stitching too!!! it's a miracle!! pmsl......

this challenge was for everything you did to be done in two's....so i used...2 photos, 2 stickers, 2 patterned papers, 2 different edges (distressed edges on the large square and a torn edge on the strip) and a 2 word title...

this page of the gorgeous miss maddie...a friend of ethie's from school on their trip to dubbo last september....was for a sketch and tag/sticker challenge......i LOVE the "paper doll" range from crate paper...it is sooooo yummy!!!!

ethie's turn.....more pics from the dubbo trip.....for this challenge we had to pick a shape and stick to it...so in my case everything had to be square!

this typically cheeky layout of ebony was for the fussy cutting challenge using another pagemaps gorgeous sketch...

i am totally in LOVE with Krissy's doileys and flowers...if you haven't already checked them out then you really, really need to get on over to wicked princesses and check them out cause they are just awesome!!!!

another quick layout here for the paint dauber challenge....i used it to edge the CS and colour the chippy hearts.....of course i have added some of krissy's flowers again...LOL...i just can't help myself.....i LOVE this pic of sandy...it was taken at last years retreat so it was fitting that i should finally scrap it at this years!!!

i LOVE this layout....this was for Peta's blind challenge and we all had a ball doing it!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS WITH US HONEY....everyone really enjoyed it and loves their pages.....i love this pic of ethan and had been dying to scrap it so i love that it turned out so great! i am SO IN LOVE with the "animal stackers" range from 3 bugs...i will be using it heaps more yet i am sure!!!

this layout was done for the "one sketch 4 ways" challenge using the gorgeous "Brook" papers and some vintage goodies from krissy of my mum and dad on their honeymoon at the gold coast in june 1958........don't you just LOVE krissy's puffies flowers!!! this photo of merv and chantelle is another one i have been dying to scrap...i think i did an ok job of it in the end....i am really happy with it....this challenge was to alter a heidi swapp playing card and make it a feature of your layout....so i added a cluster of fussy cut flowers and a doiley then i also used it to start off my title....i love the alpha i used on this one as well...the black is some fabric thickers and the pink is the new Lush alphas...both are available from Peta at scrapbooking from scratch....

well that's my stash from the weekend.....i have SO much still left over from my kit to scrap with that there will be loads more to share with you all very very soon i am sure!!!

OMG 4 Sleeps to go!!!!

OMG only 4 sleeps to go until it's time to scrap our butts off...PMSL....and i can't wait....i am so looking forward to meeting the gorgeous Krissy on thursday night then packing up friday morning and heading off to Sandy's for a full weekend of scrapping madness...i mean non stop scrapping and shopping what more could a girl ask for!!!!!..don't forget girls our target is 20 pages ...so no procrastinating (sp?) allowed!! we will be armed with our awesome kits plus a full to bursting shop just in case there is something else you just have to have (and knowing peta there will be plenty of yummies to tempt us!!), tonnes of challenges, loads of food and most importantly absolutely awesome company.....it will be scrappers heaven i think ...LOL....

so just a couple of things that will help us out with the weekend....can you bring with you a brown ink if you have one....we will be using it for krissy's class...if you don't have one don't stress i have a few we can share but the more that are there the better....also can the local girls (Be and Krissy we have you covered) please bring your pillow with you.....easy peasy stuff really......

i emailed everyone attending from friday night the menu from the braddie...if you haven't already chosen something can you please make sure you do let me know what you'd like by lunch time on friday .....

a few of our scrappy friends are joining us for lunch on friday at sandy's...if you would like to join us you are more than welcome too....head on over we are having gourmet pizzas from an awesome place in rutherford...yummo!!!!

pizza box of fun!!!

so who wants to know what's in our little pizza box of fun.......here it is girls!!!

the new 3 bugs caboodle pack in "Animal stackers" ...there is 9 papers,a tag sheet, an alpha and a sticker sheet.....then....

now we have in the paper doll range ..... stickers and journal stickers as well as stickers and journal stickers in the Brook range.......and yes there is still more...hehehehehe.....

2 thickers...one black fabric, one white vinyl and some chippy numbers and hearts......

oh and don't forget the 20 cardstock to go with all that plus a gorgeous printblocks album and 10 love you more page protectors for the album....

oh and i almost forgot there is a little shoe box mini alpha to add to that plus a HS large playing card, a stampin up circle shaker box plus a kaszazz bling "princess" word and all the bits for krissy's blossom class....i think that is everything but who knows what else you will find in your pizza box at the retreat!! hehehehe you just never know what i have in store!!!! LOL!!!

12 sleeps to go!!!

wow i can't believe it ...there are only 12 sleeps to go until our scrappy weekend begins! woohoo i can't wait!! i have all the challenges designed and you will be happy to know that i have NOT included particular photo sizes in any of the challenges so that you can use whatever photos you have in your stash.....i have included some awesome pagemap sketches on a few of them to get you into the groove and a few little tricky bits here and there that will have you looking outside the box...just a little...hehehehehe....

our technique/embellishment classes will be as follows:
*Krissy will be showing us how to make one of her beautiful blossom branches
*Sandy will be showing us how to do resist embossing
* i will be showing you how to emboss with distress inks and powders and hopefully showing you how to make some really cool flowers using transparencies and paint! ( i am saying hopefully cause i am still playing with this one...hehehehe)
all the goodies to have a play at these will be there for you to use so don't worry about a thing chickies!

if there is something else you would love to see a demo of please don't hesitate to ask and i'll see what we can do for you....

On Saturday night after dinner Peta will be running a blind challenge for us ....i LOVE Peta's blind challenges...she is a total Queen at them and i just know you'll have a ball with it!!

YUMMY DAYS!!!!!

hey there girls...how is your countdown til retreat going...we only have 16 sleeps to go til our scrapaholics delight begins....LOL....so today penny (our awesome retreat chef) and I got together to decide on a menu ...well let me tell you girls...it is just YUMMO!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and i also did a little taste test for you as well.....i just had to make sure that i thought you'd like penny's homemade chocolate, choc chip muffins....hehehehe.....oh and for the record you will DEFINATELY love them!!!!...i'll list what we decided on below for you to check out...if there is anything on it that you can''t have PLEASE let me know a.s.a.p so we can adjust things accordingly....so check it out and let me know what you think.....oh no i'm drooling again!!!LOL...

Saturday: breakfast...pancakes with maple syrup and/or fruit

Morning and Afternoon teas: tea, coffee and milo...a selection of muffins, anzacs bickies etc etc that you will be able to help yourself to at anytime...one of the days penny is going to cook fresh scones which of course we will have to have with loads of jam and cream!!!hehehehe.....

i will also have a selection of lollies (and yes that means red frogs krissy and licorice allsorts penny...LOL) on each table plus there will be plenty of soft drink available...the only thing you will need to bring is any alcohol you might like to have a little drinky of......

well girls the kit is finalized and let me tell you it is absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't believe just how much we have managed to pack into it for you all....Peta is an absolute scrap goddess...she really worked her magic on this one...hehehehe...i just know your all going to love it!

WOOHOO we have 31 days to go and i just can't wait!!! i picked up our papers today from the gorgeous Chels and let me tell you they are so so cute!...i am really happy with them...oh just in case i hadn't told you we are using the two new 3 bugs in a rug ranges "animal stackers" and "savannah"...i am sure you will love them as much as i do...we will all have so much fun with them.....

i am off to the gorgeous peta's tommorrow for a class and while i am there we are going to go over the last of the retreat kit details...you know finish matching things up to the papers....it is so much fun putting things together for you all ...i am like a kid in a candy shop when i am there...hehehehehe...i mean what a better way to spend the day then scrapping and buying scrap goodies...it just can't be beat!!! hahahahaha....

over the weekend there will also be some games with prizes to be won.....we will have an absolute ball i promise you!!!
